Thanks Hayduke! Pour is very porter like with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted nut with smoky peat. That smoky peat translates to the flavor along with wet grass and anise. The peat recedes at the finish and smoke builds as does carbonation.

12 ounce bottle from somewhere in Richmond, VA. Pours a hazy very dark bronzeish brown color with a tiny floating particles. Thin head with average head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel, light roast, coffee and chocolate. Taste is light roast, caramel, faint chocolate and a nutty smokiness. Medium bodied. Good beer.

Aroma is a bit weak, with only a faint hint of roasted malt and smoke. Flavor is more pronounced, with a sweet roasted beginning and a smooth smoky finish. Interesting combination...decent porter.
