MadisonMelissa (2), Bozeman, Montana, USA does not count Mar 21, 2006 This is my favorite beer (and I would guess it’s also their most popular) from Madison River. It’s quite hoppy and has a very crisp flavor. Alldaydrinker (458), Norwood, Massachusetts, USA Nov 4, 2007 Poured an amber colour and a extremely impressive rocky mountain thick frothy off white head. Head retention was insane as well of the lacing of the glass. Aroma is slight stale simply because i think i waited a little to long to drink this one. Nose of grapefruit hops are apparent with some slight sweet malts. Initial taste is a fizzy mouthfeel is heavy grapefruit hop and malt sweetness. Finishing with a bitter hops. Palate duration is very good. Medium Body. Drink4Satan (468), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Nov 4, 2007 Pours out a golden amber colour with a head so massive, it took up more than half the glass and was reluctant to go down. Huge, rocky, cavernous dimpled off-white head that laces the glass like chunks of whipped cream. The bitterbess on the nose seemed a bit high, so I assumed this one was a little passed its prime, but not totally bad. The nose also had a musty character above a hoppy citrus profile. The flavour was of citrusy hops, bready malts and passion fruit sweetness with a touch of overlaying pine bitterness that seemed out of place. Medium body and carbonation are well paired and makes the brew easy to drink. kyzr (916), Bozeman, Montana, USA Apr 9, 2006 Amber orange in color with off brown smaller head. Nose of citrus. Big and hoppy up front then mellows out with the malt. Finish is clean. GreatLibations (1265), Sasquatcho, Arizona, USA Oct 3, 2007 Jesse strikes again! Mucho appreciado amigo. Hopper pours a golden amber color w/ a shortlived froth that reduces to a partial ring and canopy. Aromas of fresh, brisk hops and biscuits. Medium nectar weight w/ good carbonation. Malty with a fresh hop essence. Fresh squeezed citrus rind and mild biscuits. Theres a sort of residual popsickle flavor that lingers. The finish is bittered nicely leaving behind a eucalyptic minty fresh sensation to ponder.
