Sample draft at the brewpub - Poured a clear reddish brown in color with a small light tan head. Aroma was malty with brown sugar or caramel... no hops. Flavor was malty and sweet, but weakly flavored. Lingering bitterness was the only sign of the hops. Watery. OK...

Sampled at brewery. Nov 1 08. Pours a caramel brown with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malts, herbal hops and a touch of toffee, Flavor is malty sweet with caramel and notes of toffee with a earthy hop finish.

Red coloured body with a little bit deeper hues throughout and a really thin tan head that faded fast. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee and littl else. Light to Medium-bodied; Mild alcoholic taste with some decent maltiness and a bit of a caramel sweetness. Aftertaste shows little else but the bitterness. Overall, a bit off from a standard Scottish - not horrible...but not worth drinking again. I sampled this beer on draught from the brewpub in Bennington, Vermont on 23-October-2005.

Nice colour, but all malt, no hops. If I wanted this much malt, I’d have a "malt ball". hahahaha. Seriously though- a LOT of malt. Makes the old tongue curl in the back...no mas, gracias.
