| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 20, 2006 (12 oz bottle: Obtained 06-Apr-06 in trade with 46er3498, thanks Tom!) Fruity and floral, yet balanced by a fair amount of malt. Somewhat caramely, moderately sweet and sugary, but only mildly bitter and quite chalky in flavor and mouthfeel. Floral, sweet, very fruity nose. Medium-bodied, dry, gritty and chalky on the palate. Cloudy, murky, medium-amber color, topped by half an inch of light-tan head. It settles to a wide ring while leaving a modest amount of patchy lacing. Another of those beers that’s just way too floral for my tastes. Lose some of the floral character and I think this would be a pretty decent beer. Cap: "Don’t be a Pig when you Swig". weepingsuds (222), Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA

Just not hitting me right. Sorry Magic Hat, go snowboard, and rethink this batch. Maybe a new yeast Cletus (5058), Connecticut, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 3, 2006 Coppery with a white head. Smells spicey and slightly peppery. Taste is malty and sweet. Boring even for an amber ale. RazingDreamz (123), North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2005 Dark reddish-brown color, beautiful tan head. Floral, woodsy aroma. Taste is an amalgam of things, but there’s something malty sweet, something syrupy, a little of something piney. I don’t know what the hell this is, but it’s good. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 22, 2005 Dark copper hue. Sweet nose, cocoa, grain, faint spice. Small off white head is mostly diminishing down to just a ring around the edge of the glass. Palate is moderately sweet, date, cereal, grains, leather, over ripened orange, light to medium body, doughy yeast, faintly fruity, earthy juicy hops through the finish. A quaffable session brew, yes. A bit restrained. This could be great, perhaps if somebody else brewed it. dirtymike (2018), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 29, 2005 Deep golden in color with a small white head with large loose bubbles that quickly disapate. Aroma of citrus and pine. Flavor of fruit, mild hops, moderately bitter with a thin body and flavor. hopscotch (5537), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 26, 2005 Bottle... This beer rocks!... Murky, amber ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. Terrific aroma of black tea, buttersoctch and light juniper with some floral notes. The flavor is of unsweetened American iced tea with a lemon twist. Moderately bitter. Medium-bodied and resiny with lively carbonation. Medium-length, dry finish. Looks like I’m going against the grain here, but I really dig this beer! swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2005 I was eager to try this beer. It was a nice copper red ale coloring with a thick inviting head. It has a light floral scent almost a lemongrass smell. It has a very light taste, though I tried it as part of a winter sampler this beer is better suited for summer consumption. Reminds me of a Philly favorite, Nodding Head’s Monkey Knife Fight.
