Sep 13, 2007 Medium brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of nuts and caramel, with a moderately strong hops presense for the style. Flavor is earthy at first, roasty in the middle, and a healthy citrusy hops kick in the finsih. Kind of like a APA/Scotch Ale/Porter mix. I’m not sure that is a good thing...

Jul 26, 2007 Notes: Pours a deep-hued brown with a magnificent looking head. Smells malty, raisins, grapefruit; pretty fragrant but maybe a little too much in the nose. Taste jumps all over the place... Grapefruit at the beginning, roasted coffee at the end. Really weird and unappetizing. Very hard to swallow, had to pour some of it out because I couldn’t finish it. It was OK on the first sip, but got really bad on subsequent sips.

Nov 16, 2006 12oz bottle via trade with 46er3498 - Thanks Tom! - Pours brown with a short tan head that fades pretty quick. Aromas of light caramel and some smoke. Flavor is a blend of caramel, smoke, a little oak, and some light alcohol on the finish. Medium body without much carbonation. Pretty smooth and easy to drink. Not bad but nothing special
