jb (789), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 8, 2006 Nice look and aroma. Burnt orange color with thick head. Piney aroma. Bit of malt in the palate but mostly dominated by the hops. Not bad.
changeup45 (624), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 12, 2008 Updated: Sep 9, 2008Came with the summer sampler pack I purchased (it was the "mystery beer"). Pours a brownish, amber color. Small head and a little lacing. As the case with a lot of Magic Hat beers, it was pretty sweet and fruity. Maybe a little too sweet but still a solid beer. A nice amount of hops to go with a citrus fruity flavor make it enjoyable and pretty easy to drink. I’d definitely have it again. Glazed9884 (207), USA Jun 30, 2007 xxx a very good beer, didnt know what to espect given that it was a mystery beer, but i was pleasantly surprised bbp182 (255), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA May 11, 2007 The appearance in this beer is a amber, maybe even dark amber, with a nice head. It’s hops aroma are great and noticeable in the best of ways. It has great flavors, a little bitter, but great all around. 2beerguys (299), North Shore, Massachusetts, USA Feb 14, 2007 Batch 374 pours a dark amber with a large, fizzy light-brown head. Fair lacing with a fully diminishing head. Aroma is of harsh, heavy hops with spruce notes and a kick of sweet. Initial taste is moderately sweet, turning to a light bitter finish with long duration. Light to medium on the palate, we’re left slightly oily with soft carbonation. Very heavy on the fresh pine and a bit of malt to back it up. Wonder how alcoholic this was? Basically registers as a reddish IPA and not much more or less else. And who needs anything else, frankly?
