Glouglouburp (2113), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 9, 2008 In short: Decent refreshing and tart light summer fruity beer
How: Tap at Vermont Brewers Festival 2008
The look: Cloudy blonde-yellow body topped by a small white head
In long: This light beer has fruity flavours upfront. Fruits flavours are mainly the tropical kinds along with a canned fruity salad taste and lemon. Thin body, medium tartness and light sourness. A nice refreshing light beer but lacked the crispness, sharp lemonade edge and all the I-don’t-know-what that make a Berliner Weiss. From my limited understanding of this not-too-frequent style I thought that this Odd Notion was more of a light tart fruit beer than a Berliner Weiss per say. I’m still not sure this is a different beer than the Summer Draft Odd Notion. Enjoyable but this wasn’t my first Odd Notion, I used to think that professional modeling was an underpaid job explaining why they are so skinny.
Beerdedone (1663), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 4, 2008 Sampled at brewery. Pours a pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of tart lemon, grass and a hint of wheat. Flavor follows the aroma and is tart and tangy with a thin body FROTHINGSLOSH (1612), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 13, 2008 Sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Pub in North Huntingdon PA this beer poured a yellow-gold color with a medium sized white head. The aroma was dryish and tart lemon. The flavor was tart, tangy, a bit dry and had a moderate citrus element. The finish was long and tart. Reminded me of SweetTart candy. bu11zeye (4066), Frisco, Texas, USA Jul 31, 2008 (Draught) Pours a cloudy pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of grass, wheat, skunk, and some metallic. Flavor of moderately sour lemon, grass, and wheat. Rastacouere (5421), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2008 Objectively speaking:
Very pale sour ale that is not quite the wonder that their anti-oxidant acid ale was.

I like:
Fresh wheat profile adds an interesting twist to the soft lactic whispers that approach lemon dangerously. Light-bodied and highly drinkable. Refreshing indeed.

I dislike:
Quite muddled in mouth where it lacks the sharpness and decision that would separate it from tarter than average wheat beers. Not enough character to really desire a second glass.
