lamas (574), Adams Morgan, Washington DC, USA Jan 15, 2008 Bottle. Please drink by end of: February. Pours a murky copper with a thin light-tan head. Lemony, wheaty aroma. Medium to thin-bodied. Starts with a bit of caramel and transitions nicely to some yeasty, lemony flavors. Very subtle herbal qualities throughout. Finishes a bit dry.
Beer_Hawk (673), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Aug 19, 2008 Sampled at the 2008 Music City Brewers Fest. Yellow with a white head that is has some lasting. Wheat and spice aroma. The flavor is much the same with some lemon backing. Light body but need some more. gameface23 (77), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA Aug 19, 2008 Yellowish in color with a white, watery looking head. Aroma was earthy/musty. This did not taste like a hefe.. The lemongrass dominated and I didn’t taste any banana or clove. The mouthfeel was the best part about the beer. Shag (1767), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA Aug 18, 2008 A dark orange apperance with a white head. The aroma contains some oranges and bananas. The flavor is somewhat sour with a bready presence. More bananas present in the flavor. The palate is rather thin as well. Overall not much to this one. SpringsLicker (1812), Tennessee, USA Aug 17, 2008 Thanks to decaturstevo for sharing this one.
Fleeting white head over a clear dark yellow body.
Sweet honey aroma.
Slightly sweet tart flavor but no real character. Thin. AndrewKScott (319), Lemont, Illinois, USA Aug 17, 2008 Meh. Typical hefe look, citrus dominates the aroma. Taste is citrus and yeast. Overall average, albeit decent hefe. The editors note explains why its so odd.
