A little bit too lemony. but refreshing, semi-full mouthfeel. clovey. not the bubblegum you might expect from a hefe or the sweetness. I agree with the commercial description. the overwhelming cloves make it more of a spice/herb/veggie genre. Its good. worth a try if you are a hefe afficionado but if you only really like hefes and are in the mood for one, try something else.

Appearance is a golden pour with a thick white head that lingers. Taste is nice lemon notes, somewhat sugary, grassy again, a notes of other light fruits, and a very light spice note. Palate has some really nice carbonation, and finishes with an overall clean taste. Overall, Not bad. Crisp and clean. Cheers! darn1207 (668), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Dec 15, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is of wheat and bread, with citrus notes (lemon) beneath it. Taste is slightly sour from the lemon, with a bitter metallic taste that follows into the finish. Pretty carbonated, which leaves a fizzy mouthfeel. Overall I am not too impressed. weihenweizen (64), West Virginia, USA

Magic Hat calls this a hefeweizen, however this should not be confused with any good hefeweizen. The taste is completely dominated by lemongrass, has some american wheat taste, with a hint of sour yeast. This lemongrass does produce a nice aroma and the beer does look good, but the taste does nothing for me and I am not interested in having this beer again. fiulijn (7520), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Draught at Pony Bar, New York Hazy blond color. Served too cold; it has light aroma and light flavor; very light wheat character, instead there is a spicy side, peppery, and light lemon. Simple. Not so much a traditional hefeweizen (which is what Magic Hat calls it) but it’s still quite good. One of my favourites.
