Pours from the bottle a hazy, orange-yellow color with a very big white head that fades slowly. Aroma contains a light banana, clove, lemon, wheat and sour yeast note. Flavor has a very light banana, clove, some citrus lemon present in the early flavors but all fade to a moderately strong wheat presence and sour yeast note at the end. Thin body, bubbly texture and no lacing. Overall an okay brew but the lemon flavor is a bit on the high side and makes it slightly rough in my opinion.

Dec 15, 2009 Pours a cloudy golden color with a medium white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is of wheat and bread, with citrus notes (lemon) beneath it. Taste is slightly sour from the lemon, with a bitter metallic taste that follows into the finish. Pretty carbonated, which leaves a fizzy mouthfeel. Overall I am not too impressed.

Dec 15, 2009 On tap. Magic Hat calls this a hefeweizen, however this should not be confused with any good hefeweizen. The taste is completely dominated by lemongrass, has some american wheat taste, with a hint of sour yeast. This lemongrass does produce a nice aroma and the beer does look good, but the taste does nothing for me and I am not interested in having this beer again.

Hazy blond color. Served too cold; it has light aroma and light flavor; very light wheat character, instead there is a spicy side, peppery, and light lemon. Simple.

Nov 27, 2009 A nice aroma, you can definitely smell the lemongrass. Not so much a traditional hefeweizen (which is what Magic Hat calls it) but it’s still quite good. One of my favourites.

Nov 26, 2009 Picked up a 12oz bottle, it said Hefeweizen so I figured I’d give it a try. Doesn’t really have much of the classic hefeweizen character, just more of a clean tasting ale really. Not bad by any means but a bit of a let down.

Nov 25, 2009 Pour is a cloudy yellow with a average white head. Aroma is lemon with some soap and a bit of paper. Flavor is lots of cardboard and soapyness. The aroma and flavor reminded me of lemon scented joy. Not that ever drank dish washing soap but this would be a very close cousin. That said this was horrible.

Nov 25, 2009 Bottle. Slightly hazy golden with large white head. Aromas of grass, grain, lemon and some banana. Taste is herbal with grass, lemon, bread and banana. Almost enough body, but not quite. Silky but sparkly mouthfeel.
