Commercial Description:
Editor's note: Yes, the bottle calls it a hefeweizen. The beer, however, is brewed with a (fairly hefty) portion of lemongrass, which contributes a significant aroma and flavor. Thus we have deemed it a Spice/herb/vegetable and not a German Hefeweizen, which should be free from adjuncts (other than hops).

12oz bottle thanks to my mom. Pours a cloudy orange/yellow with small white head and a fair amount of lacing. Aromas are pretty weak, some sweeter citric fruits, wheat, light floral hops and lemon grass(although I’m not sure I would of picked that up if I hadn’t read about it). Flavors of orange, tangerine, lemon, wheat and a slightly spicy finish. Palate is medium bodied and medium carbonation. Overall nothing great, but certainly quaffable.

A nice aroma, you can definitely smell the lemongrass. Not so much a traditional hefeweizen (which is what Magic Hat calls it) but it’s still quite good. One of my favourites.

Picked up a 12oz bottle, it said Hefeweizen so I figured I’d give it a try. Doesn’t really have much of the classic hefeweizen character, just more of a clean tasting ale really. Not bad by any means but a bit of a let down.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a average white head. Aroma is lemon with some soap and a bit of paper. Flavor is lots of cardboard and soapyness. The aroma and flavor reminded me of lemon scented joy. Not that ever drank dish washing soap but this would be a very close cousin. That said this was horrible.

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden with large white head. Aromas of grass, grain, lemon and some banana. Taste is herbal with grass, lemon, bread and banana. Almost enough body, but not quite. Silky but sparkly mouthfeel.

Bottle. Poured a clear gold with an off-white head. Aroma was full of banana and yeast flavors with a bit of lemon bitterness. Flavor began sweet with banana and grain notes but finished with a lemony bitterness. A bit odd.

This was just a ok beer for me , kind of light in flavor and color. Has kind of a sour finish to it.

Quite clear golden hued with a small and noisy off white head. Not much of a lifespan for the head. A lemon syrup aroma. Some wheat crispness in the flavor, banana, citrus. Far from a great beer from a brewer I am losing patience with.

A hazy golden pour with large white head. It has a lemon and wheat aroma that very much matches the taste. It has a light to medium body and mildly sour finish that dissipates quickly.
