buu (10), USA Mar 27, 2006 Updated: Apr 20, 2006My least favorite Magic Hat beer. A lacking EPA; mildly hopped for a pale ale. I almost sense a mild apricot, but no other particularly enticing flavors- lackluster. However, a pleasant fruity aroma. I’d recommend Blind faith as a more favorable Magic Hat pale ale. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Mar 23, 2006 Yellow copper with a decent enough head, however the trails of cloudy faint sediment were a bit offputting. The aroma is weak, peach and stone fruits with floral hops. The palate is thin, crisp and refreshing with just the right amount of CO2. The flavor is much better than expected. Fruity (peach/apricot), hops with a bit of not so malty sweetness. Simple and clean with a nice hoppy bitterness left lingering. Despite the nose, an alright beer. tcruicks (282), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Mar 23, 2006 Golden/orange/yellow collor with a white head, and a fair amount of carbonation. A refreshing beer, smells malty and fruity like peaches. Can taste hops, spices and again the peaches, maybe pears, or general fruitiness. Bitter finish but not overwhelmingly so. I guess its a good "session" beer, I could drink a lot of these. pbjclimber (150), Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 6, 2006 Pours with a thin head and is an amber color. The flavor is watery with a bit of malts and a decent amount of hops. This is not a very well balanced beer. ghunte02 (29), Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 5, 2006 this beer was pretty ordinary. amber color, not much aroma to speak of. maybe a little roasted nuts. malty flavor, some hops at the end. ho hum. jimhilt (1663), Bow, New Hampshire, USA Feb 24, 2006 Pours a white, three finger-head that goes slowly to a ring leaving some lace. Nearly clear amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Smells grassy. Starts hoppy with some malt, finish is hoppier and bitter aftertaste. 12oz bottle from 12-pack $11.99 Market Basket Concord, NH. outerupt (133), Richmond, Virginia, USA Feb 23, 2006 12oz. bottle. This just isn’t good. The malt is reminiscent of many of this brewery’s offerings that are equally boring though perhaps not quite as unpleasant as this. For those attempting to find a beer just north of Budweiser or MGD perhaps this is a step in the right direction. But honestly with the weak, somewhat watery mouthfeel and stale hops flavour and aroma of this beer, my dollar would favor a PBR. Another disappointment from Magic Hat. TheBeerGod (3143), Newport News, Virginia, USA Feb 23, 2006 Bottle. Amber bodied with a small tanned head. The aroma on this one is laden with fruit (pears and melon) and is lightly hopped. Taste is grainy with light spices, hops, and lots of fruit flavors. Body is medium with a moderate feel to it and mild carbonation. Finishes with lots of grains, bread notes, fruit and light hops. OK, I guess.
