Pale malt nose, sweet grass. Soft tart grassy flavor, not as sweet as suggested by the nose. Body and mouthfeel are average. Clean, very little hop profile, but then again this is an English Pale Ale. Not bad, average, but still enjoyable. Thanks Dan for the bottle!

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 19, 2005 Clear amber pour, little to no head, and not much aroma. The taste is really sharp on the hops, but poorly balanced with malt (if any). Also has a funky Coors-light aftertaste and finish. Not particularly pleasant. I love pale ales, and I would not recommend this one. sneagrams3 (1747), St. Louis, Missouri, USA

Still this beer is better then the magic hat blind faith. Stay away from this beer as it is not that good Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 7, 2005 Winter pack. A nice golden ale. Rather hoppy with just enough malt to keep if from becoming overpowering. The dry hopping was very evident, or maybe I’m getting better. PattiA (49), Madison, New Hampshire, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 4, 2005 Poured a clear golden color with an off-white bubbly head. The foam stayed around for quite some time. I don’t know if it was my sinuses, but I had trouble detecting an aroma. What I could detect was sweet with a slight hop-like scent. The taste caught me by surprise after the lack of aroma. There’s a nice nutty flavor here dominated mostly by an almost tart-like flavor. There’s an undertone of sweetness from the malts but it is very subtle and hard to detect. A slightly dry and bitter finish is greatly enhanced by a kick from the carbonation which is a little higher than I normally like, but not horrible here.
