richlikebeer (823), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 11, 2005 Very sweet, hoppy aroma on a golden colored body with a light and head that faded down to a wispy layer on the top of the glass. A fairly metallic hop taste with an amazingly bitter aftertaste took what I thought was going to be a good beer straight downhill. Body is medium to light, and the feel is very cool and refreshing. Everything about this beer was great, except the way it tasted. NJBeerman013 (768), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Feb 9, 2005 A very Drinkable beer, not as strong as other Pale Ales I have had. Actually rather on the smooth side. A very rich feeling ale. openwindow (67), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Jan 31, 2005 Magic Hat’s "drinkable" beer. A very pale ale with a nice hoppy aftertaste. More watery than they typical ale. Much at home on a hot summer’s day. Nothing exceptionally special about the brew but for some reason it is one of my top beers to have on hand when my friends come over, and it usually appeals to those who don’t drink outside the Budweiser/Coors/Miller paradigm. flynnguy (14), New Jersey, USA Jan 25, 2005 Very water beer that tastes weird with the strong hop flavors. Try Magic Hat #9 instead. OldGrowth (1407), North Carolina, USA Jan 24, 2005 Tap @ Horseshoe Pub. Ok nose, Toffee, nutty, lemon. Clean orange color. Sweet bitter flavors, toffee, grass, lemon/grapefruit. Thin body, watery mouthfeel, crisp bitterdry finish, citrus lingers a little. East drinking, I think of this as a lawnmower beer. Suttree (2702), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jan 8, 2005 Golden copper, thin white head. Earthy hops, with notes of smoke, and cocoa in the aroma. Rich Mouth feel. Smoky, clean malty flavor, then an earthy, resiny finish. GuilTTy (527), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Jan 3, 2005 Non descript medium gold pour under a thin white head with some lacing. Pretty standard malty aroma with some spiciness and hops. Flavor was more of the same. No particular edge or direction. Just a basic ale that could pass as a fair lager (especially with the thin mouthfeel). I didn’t dislike this beer but I really can’t find a reason to have another. zathrus13 (1288), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA Jan 1, 2005 Golden color, with a small, white head. Aroma is hops and malt. Body is thin, as is the taste. Some sweet malt and a little hop bitterness.
