The beer's color was rich and promising, and it drained with a pleasing constancy of residue in the glass. The taste? A bit on the off side, there is definitely that mysterious Magic Hat ingredient that is not quite apricot (perhaps apricot blended with something?), along with an only medium-hoppy feel. A good beer well-served coming straight from its brown bottle, and has a nice aroma that goes straight to the nose. The bottle, however, is a little over the top in its artsiness this time (my apologies to the creator). sfontain (506), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 30, 2004 Pale orange color; no head at all; no lacing. Nice floral aroma. Flavor is good--a little malt up front, and not at all overhopped; pleasant. Typical mouthfeel. Decent stuff; good session beer, too. axilla (962), New Providence, Pennsylvania, USA
