Jan 1, 2007 Bottle, from mug. Best by end of Dec ’06; missed it by a day. Slightly yellow head leaves a ring of residue. Very murky, copper colored body. Nose is fruity and hoppy, showing peaches, apricots and pine. Medium-full body shows some hop oiliness and average carbonation. Flavor is very bitter, as it should be, but is probably hoppier than the style would dictate--which suits this hophead just fine. Finishes short and dry up front, with malt showing through in the back. Highly quaffable; I practically guzzled a 6-pack.

Dec 26, 2006 Out of 12 oz bottle....good vellow-amber color, nice mouthfeel, but not in the top 10 ales out there. Not bad from Magic Hat, better than non-descript, but not MUCH better.

Dec 23, 2006 Bottle (rating from August 2005 notes). A golden amber color with a white head. Dusty and lightly hopped. Fairly thin with little malt complexity.

Dec 9, 2006 Bottle at the Brickskeller in DC. Poured golden yellow, nice white head. Honestly it reminded me a bit of other Magic Hat beers, but I felt this one was as good as the rest.

Nov 22, 2006 Drank this beer straight out the bottle. Nice and bitter, but not too much so. It was relatively smooth and had a nice tingling in the mouth. Nothing too special, but really there was nothing bad about this beer to speak of. Not as interesting as some other Magic Hat beers, but pretty good never the less.

Nov 20, 2006 In the bottle at the Brickskeller. Pours a hazy butterscotch rich golden yellow. Fluffy white head with the hills-and-valley phenotype. Hoppy aroma. Nice lacing. The body is disappointingly thin. A bit metallic in taste. Almost tastes like blood. Slight musty aroma. Mildly bitter, but fairly disappointing.
