frankenkitty (1834), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Dec 11, 2007 Pours a frost-hazed, vermillion/bronze body with a head that can simply be described as "lacking". I find a low berry-fruitiness to the Ovaltine malt aroma... which is quite pleasant as a package. Minor hop notes strike the palate first then dissipate quickly to the flavor of fresh baked bread and a cup of tea. A little more fruitiness shows through here as well (is it just me?) Mid bodied, a little sugary with a tingly mouthfeel.

Fat Angel’s label has a line that reads, "a paler shade of ale". At first it struck me as a simple pun, then it seemed self-deprecating. After sampIing several bottles, I take it to mean that this beer is suitable to all palates... not just to those which have grown accustomed to the harsher profiles normally associated with India and American Pale Ales.

kidrobot (38), Sparta, New Jersey, USA Jan 2, 2009 One of my fav beers ever. Very disapointed that it was retired. Great bite and nice alcohol content. Rciesla (1571), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Dec 25, 2008 Bottle. haha wow this is retired i didnt even know. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Sweet simple and malty caramel with a light grassy hoppy signature MH trademark. Eh. bsm80 (115), Massapequa, New York, USA Sep 6, 2008 Refreshing, hoppy, slightly fruity taste, nice aftertaste. This is a good beer for a summer day. EithCubes (1899), Indiana, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle - appreciate the subtle artwork. Dusty malty nose, a bit of grass and dark caramel, funky hops but not in spades. Hazy amber pour with a soapy tan head. Taste is very dry, slightly dusty and a bit dirty, some caramel and earth. Lasting hoppy dryness long after. Not very crisp, but still somewhat sharp. Chalky citrus, lightish medium body. The taste is somewhat lacking here, but the feel is absolutely superb - really feels like it’s cleaning out the mouth, implores you to have four or five more. Moderately refreshing, would have again. darn1207 (364), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 8, 2008 12oz bottle from random store in manhattan. copper yellow pour. off white head. yeasty and light hop aroma. caramel and malt flavors. moderate sweetness. light bodied. fairly bland. K-5.5
