| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 26, 2002 Cloudy amber with medium light-beige head. Aroma is sweet and strong malty. Flavor is moderately sweet and malty at first. As it warms slightly, floral & grassy hoppiness appear in the back half of the mouth. For that matter, most of the flavor is perceived in the back half. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2006 Apricot colored, filtered pour wearing an adequate white head that recedes to cover. Fruity ringwood aromas bring lots of oily fruits in the portrait. Mango, peach and litchi come to mind, giving a slightly tropical feel to this otherwise malt forward brew. Straw-like, fruity, biscuity malts never reach the crispness promised. Mellow grassy hops serves support purposes and nothing more. A bit uneffective in the mouthfeel department where the ringwood’s inherent crushed graininess would require a bit more supportive carbonation, as it is it is kind of creamy, mediumbodied for the style and ultimately a bit sticky around the gums. Straightforward, but still good and easy-going. hopscotch (5469), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Read the commercial description and then go buy a case. You’re just never going to get me to say anything negative about Magic Hat ales. In my book, they all rank very highly in their genres. CaptainCougar (5405), Rockville, Maryland, USA
