Citrus and malts on aroma but nothing oustanding. Flavors follow suit. The commercial description claims that this beer will offer me direction...well, at least it seems mostly on style. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 12/20 | Aug 12, 2008 Bottle - appreciate the subtle artwork. Dusty malty nose, a bit of grass and dark caramel, funky hops but not in spades. Hazy amber pour with a soapy tan head. Taste is very dry, slightly dusty and a bit dirty, some caramel and earth. Lasting hoppy dryness long after. Not very crisp, but still somewhat sharp. Chalky citrus, lightish medium body. The taste is somewhat lacking here, but the feel is absolutely superb - really feels like it’s cleaning out the mouth, implores you to have four or five more. Moderately refreshing, would have again. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 25, 2004 Deep golden color out of the bottle with a foamy egg shell head. The aroma reminded me of a clear soda pop with hops in it. Orange, citrus rind, caramel and honey sweetness. Nice hoppy finish. PhillyBeer2112 (2089), Orange Park, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 29, 2005 Cloudy goldish, smallish head. Weak aroma, some ringwoody notes of buttered caramel. Touches of spicy hop. Flavor gets more spicy hop notes, slightly cleaner than the aroma. Clean, mild finish. radiomgb (2056), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada

href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank>richlikebeer, thanks Rich. Copper in colour, white dissipating head that left a ring around the glass, some lace. The aroma was of floral and citrus hops, pine and caramel malts. The flavour was a little peppery, some caramel, light floral hops. Spicy mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes was a light bitterness, mid length. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 3, 2004 This honey colored beer was hard to pour a big head from. What there is, doesn't last long. Some hop with apricot aroma. Smooth light-medium body with a flavor that is well hopped, but not overly so, with a short dry finish. Nicely done alternative to the aggressivly hopped APA's.
