| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2008 altogeather it was refreshing lightly hoppy and a bit watery. with adequate tastes it was decent. the malt was ok i guess and the beer was a weak interpretation of some of the good qualities of a pale ale (for an american brewer. for an english brewer it was quite flavorful and quite enjoyable for the lack of sweetness +2 points for that!) kujo9 (1078), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 27, 2003 Light amber w/a quickly diminishing white head. Earthy, tobaccoey english hop aroma to start w/ a hint of diacetyl and caramel malt. Fruitiness of not quite ripe apples. A very nice toasted malt aroma as it warms. Starts malty w/ a ;hop flavor mid palate into the finish, caramel malt follows closely behind. Hop flavor is earthy and also has a little green apple flavor in the finish as well. Very well balanced and finishes on the hop flavored dry side. A little too well balanced for what I perceive to be an English pale ale. Lightly carbonated w/ a dry, borderline astringent mouthfeel and a little too light bodied for what seems to be an English Pale to me, if this is the case, it's pretty true to style and a very nice session ale. Not terribly complex, but better than the norm. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Mar 11, 2003 This was a very good and very mellow ale. Outstanding drinkablility and one ale that would be perfect for a session in bar or for concerts in the Summer. desurfer (1068), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA

Flavor is light on the tongue but lacks nothing in complexity. There’s a lemony twang, as well as some sweetness and citrusy hops. Super-drinkable, good summer/lawnmower beer. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 2, 2003 This beer pours out a hazy, orangish color, with a short lived head. The head fades to a ring of small bubbles around the rim of
the glass. First aromas are of fresh ground grains, a slight hint of fruits, mainly citrus, and fresh cut hay. Delightful, earthy aroma
to it as well. Taste is fresh, crisp, and delicious. It's more along the lines of a good Kolsch beer than just another pale ale.
Tastes are of malts, estery fruits, and a subdued hops finish to it. A nice beer overall. jb (1057), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2006 On one wiff I smelled oranges, next time it was the strong aroma of hops aka pine forest. Some malty notes too. Thin head on a dark yellow-orange beer. Palate is mostly dry with a bit of malt. Not a real hoppy finish. MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2007 Pours hazy orange with a medium head. Fair lace. Aroma of grass and floral hops. Very bitter flavor. Caramel and spice come out just a little. Not a bad brew if you like the style.
