| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 20, 2002 Medium golden body with a bit of red, medium head receding to small, fruits in the nose remind me of the Humble Patience; house character? I don’t smell any Cascades. Rather bland; body is slightly fruity and sweet, with an apricot note; hops only really come through as a small finishing bitterness. Not unpleasant, but decidedly unimpressive. dberger624 (1028), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 9, 2006 Bottle. Aroma is strong and hoppy. Color is a cloudy amber with no head. Taste spice, hops with some balance from the malts. A little weak on taste though. A very plain beer. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 19/20 | Apr 23, 2006 Pours to a deep golden, to burnt orange color, with a nice white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose has a nice balance of citrus/grassy hop aromas paired with some good sweet and caramel malt aroma, and earthy yeast. The palate is firm, with lots of good pale, and sweet malt, paired with light fuity esters. Fat Angel finishes with more good pale and sweet malt up front, then ends with a snappy, citrus/grassy hop bite that lingers. Very well done pale ale, with good flavor, and good drinkability. Very food friendly beer as well that would pair well with a variety of dishes. Great beer. ben4321 (1018), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Flavor: Light sweetness, some malts
Palate: Light body, not much of a finish, dry
Overall Impression:
Pretty bland, not offering too much to get excited about. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2006 Yellow copper with a decent enough head, however the trails of cloudy faint sediment were a bit offputting. The aroma is weak, peach and stone fruits with floral hops. The palate is thin, crisp and refreshing with just the right amount of CO2. The flavor is much better than expected. Fruity (peach/apricot), hops with a bit of not so malty sweetness. Simple and clean with a nice hoppy bitterness left lingering. Despite the nose, an alright beer.
