Aroma of Goldings, Ringwood yeast and not much else. Very flat tasting with a dominant yeast flavor, moreso than any of their other brews. Too much Goldings grassiness and a weak body. Finishes bland and just eh. Dry hopping with Goldings was not a good idea. This is undrinkable without food to assist. weeare138 (936), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 28, 2005 Appears a rich amber with a frothy 1 finger white head that fades into a clumpy film. Leaves streaky lacing around the glass.
Smell is of Ringwood, slightly sweet with a light apricot, caramel & toffee, with that slight butterness
Taste is about the same of the aromas with roughly the same appeal.
Mouthfeel is smooth with buttery sweetness. It’s ok. I’ve been drinking this one for so long though, it may have dropped down a few notches since I first had it about 8 years ago. VTHopHead (934), Barre, Vermont, USA

Fruity, weird black current flavor over mustiness. Bitter finish, odd metallic notes. Nejhleader (930), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania, USA

Malty throughout the taste with slight amount of hop and carbonation bite to the finish. hershiser2 (923), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

Tastes like old watered down coffee with a hint of dirt. Watery, thin mouthfeel. Unimpressed. Holdwine (909), Beertimore, Maryland, USA

Well brewed mix between the ever warring factions of malt and hops. Slightly sweet with a nice dry finish.
