Fruity nose with lightly sweet malt character, but thin-bodied with weak watery finish. Jine (896), Nutley, New Jersey, USA

Its pretty good as a session beer, though its not as good as some of the other magic hat offerings. Given the choice I’ll take humble patience. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Bottle. Clear copper with thin, quickly diminishing off-white head. Faint aroma of hops, otherwise smells generally of old wood. A little bit of yeast also. Flavor kind of flat and boring, hop bitterness is there, but no real malt character. Palate light to medium, but carbonation flattens quickly. Non-offensive, but no excitement whatsoever. Plain Jane ale. DrunkAsASkunk (847), Lynnwood, Washington, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 10, 2004 Oh the wonderful joys of boring beer....This beer pours a red and copper color with a foamy white head which soaped out really quickly and left little lacing. The aroma is hard to find with grains, malt, a hint of pine and slight fruity esters being present. The carbonation is light and tingling. Flavor-wise its heavily grainy and grassy with a thin dry cardboardy finish. Unappealing finish, leaning neither way in terms of being bad or good. Very thin body, light and sweet...absolutely little in the way or surprise or taste here aside from a slight malty fruity body and light sweet and dry finish. Boooorrrrriiiinnngggg. Palateable if I’m thirsty but nothing more than a light session beer. richlikebeer (832), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Feb 11, 2005 Very sweet, hoppy aroma on a golden colored body with a light and head that faded down to a wispy layer on the top of the glass. A fairly metallic hop taste with an amazingly bitter aftertaste took what I thought was going to be a good beer straight downhill. Body is medium to light, and the feel is very cool and refreshing. Everything about this beer was great, except the way it tasted. mansquito (830), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2006 Drank this beer straight out the bottle. Nice and bitter, but not too much so. It was relatively smooth and had a nice tingling in the mouth. Nothing too special, but really there was nothing bad about this beer to speak of. Not as interesting as some other Magic Hat beers, but pretty good never the less. tgncc (818), Bellmore, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 28, 2008 Aroma of piney hops. Appearance is redddish, like most pale ales. Persistent white head. The flavor is bitter, hoppy, and malty, and a little stale. The palate leaves a modest hop burn. Decent ale, not great. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 19, 2004 Updated: Apr 22, 2004From a bottle. The beer's color was rich and promising, and it drained with a pleasing constancy of residue in the glass. The taste? A bit on the off side, there is definitely that mysterious Magic Hat ingredient that is not quite apricot (perhaps apricot blended with something?), along with an only medium-hoppy feel. A good beer well-served coming straight from its brown bottle, and has a nice aroma that goes straight to the nose. The bottle, however, is a little over the top in its artsiness this time (my apologies to the creator).
