The beer's color was rich and promising, and it drained with a pleasing constancy of residue in the glass. The taste? A bit on the off side, there is definitely that mysterious Magic Hat ingredient that is not quite apricot (perhaps apricot blended with something?), along with an only medium-hoppy feel. A good beer well-served coming straight from its brown bottle, and has a nice aroma that goes straight to the nose. The bottle, however, is a little over the top in its artsiness this time (my apologies to the creator). changeup45 (807), Orlando, Florida, USA

Pours a copper color with a medium to thick white head and a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Some apricot, hops and overall sweet, as most Magic Hat beers are on the sweet side, with a bitter finish. There are plenty of other beers from Magic Hat that are much better. tsarman (794), Northern, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 7, 2004 Another one of their standard pale ales. Not a bad beer, but very similar to their others. This seems to be a starting point for their other beers. Decent in many ways, but not something for everyday. It is, however, ubiquitous and a good starter beer for the unadventurous. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA

It isn’t as bitter as other Pale Ales and I get a slight sugary bubblegum taste to it, though not as sugary as the other Magic Hat beers. It is very drinkable-there isn’t much hint of an aftertaste and I think this is where the "smooth harmony" kicks in. It doesn’t pour very well, kind of bubbly. It is not as interesting as Magic Hat’s other beers which tend to pack a lot of ingredients together-this is more watery. Slipstream (789), USA

Pleasant aroma of yeast, malt, and fresh vegetation. Fresh, yeasty taste with hints of flowers and spice. Fizzy but substantial on the palate - a good brew.
