Commercial Description:
Fat Angel brings divergent tastes together to create a satisfyingly smooth harmony. Dry hopped for eminent drinkability, This beer offers a complex palate that balances the rich pleasures of malt with the crisp, refreshing flavor of hops. Fat angel is the ale of universal reconciliation, brewed in an ambiguous world for those seeking answers in the age of confusion.

From a bottle. The beer's color was rich and promising, and it drained with a pleasing constancy of residue in the glass. The taste? A bit on the off side, there is definitely that mysterious Magic Hat ingredient that is not quite apricot (perhaps apricot blended with something?), along with an only medium-hoppy feel. A good beer well-served coming straight from its brown bottle, and has a nice aroma that goes straight to the nose. The bottle, however, is a little over the top in its artsiness this time (my apologies to the creator).

I was a little disappointed with this from Magic Hat. Pours a copper color with a medium to thick white head and a decent amount of lacing on the glass. Some apricot, hops and overall sweet, as most Magic Hat beers are on the sweet side, with a bitter finish. There are plenty of other beers from Magic Hat that are much better.

Another one of their standard pale ales. Not a bad beer, but very similar to their others. This seems to be a starting point for their other beers. Decent in many ways, but not something for everyday. It is, however, ubiquitous and a good starter beer for the unadventurous.

Somewhat astringent on the tounge with some malty and slightly medicainal flavors; nothing very special.

This beer had an amber coppery color and a somewhat fruity/hoppy aroma. It isn’t as bitter as other Pale Ales and I get a slight sugary bubblegum taste to it, though not as sugary as the other Magic Hat beers. It is very drinkable-there isn’t much hint of an aftertaste and I think this is where the "smooth harmony" kicks in. It doesn’t pour very well, kind of bubbly. It is not as interesting as Magic Hat’s other beers which tend to pack a lot of ingredients together-this is more watery.

Silly neon-like writing on the label. Dark brass color. Pleasant aroma of yeast, malt, and fresh vegetation. Fresh, yeasty taste with hints of flowers and spice. Fizzy but substantial on the palate - a good brew.

A very Drinkable beer, not as strong as other Pale Ales I have had. Actually rather on the smooth side. A very rich feeling ale.

draught: aroma was unevident, but I’m going to blame it on the smoke at the bar. Copper color. Flavor was rather bland, counldn’t really tell what I was drinking. tasted engilsh ale yeast. nothing to write home about
