Aromas of toasty malt and Butterfinger, also hinting at golden raisins, candied sugar, and maple. Sweetish toasty malt flavor, mild peppery spice, impression of wet autumn leaves. I would swear there’s a spicy Belgian yeast element here. Feels like flannel on the tongue. Leaves my mouth and gums numb and tingly; feels like much more than 5%. Mellow grainy/fruity/spicy aftertaste. Overall zesty, but definitely not hoppy. Nicely balanced and equally suited to sipping or quaffing. kevd193213 (513), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 30, 2004 Pale orange color; no head at all; no lacing. Nice floral aroma. Flavor is good--a little malt up front, and not at all overhopped; pleasant. Typical mouthfeel. Decent stuff; good session beer, too. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 14, 2003 In my opinion, this is a good beer, yet for the style it is too sweet. The malt/hop balance comes out well in favor of the malt side, which is more appropriate for other styles. The dry hopping does give it a nice floral aroma, unfortunately the hop flavor that your expect does not follow. Only slight bitterness in the finish. yemenmocha (426), Glendale, Arizona, USA

Hazy gold color, somewhere between straw yellow and a lighter shade of amber. Very silky wet head, easily separates into dallops. Cool.
Nose is reminiscent of an artificial sweetener in soda pop.
Flavor has a distinct bubble gum flavor, and this is not because the beer is bad. It really has a bubble gum taste. Some metallic hops at the end but you don’t notice it. Instead you’re asking yourself if you had bubble gum earlier in the day or if the beer is bad.
Easy to drink. Might be a good beer to give to the wife or girlfriend, or both. mribm (419), Hurley, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2002 Didn’t taste as many hops as I would have liked. It’s really hard to tell from their bottles what kind of beer is inside. I assumed it was a light pale ale. Tasted more malt than hops and it had this pleasant cookie / biscuit aroma to it. Very nice beer, but not a pale ale. Is it supposed to be? The bottles should let you know what you’re buying! Davhgbrew (418), Boca Raton, Florida, USA
