With a yellow orange color and a slightly sweet aroma, I started to think I wasn't going to get the bitter smackdown I was expecting. And I was right. The attack was delicate and hoppy, the finish broad and malty. The lingering faint hoppyness was VERY plesant. I will drink this again. It was really nice. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA

Smooth, light malty flavor with some brown sugar or toffee at first, with a barely dry back end. Unfortunately it was served cold, so could use a re-rate. cfranz (261), Acton, Massachusetts, USA

Which is what Magic Hat is great at. Full bodied, sweet, malty, and complex. A great beer. iratherbe (255), Marlton, New Jersey, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 29, 2006 The name and bottle are more fun than the beer. Decent pale ale, nice brown orange color, initial mouthfeel has you wanting more than it delivers. I’ve come to expect better from this brwer. Though I wonder recently are they going downhill some as of late? smashteroid (252), USA

Anyway, it was served cold on tap. Poured medium brown and had an aroma of...I don’t know, it was actually really weak. You could taste the hops alright but the malts weren’t all that present. It was an okay beer but certainly not Magic Hat’s best. It won’t be sorely missed. meathookjones (245), Sterling, Virginia, USA

This poured out clear amber with about an inch of white head that disappeared quick and with no lacing. Floral hops and caramel sweetness will the aroma up front as well as fruity notes. More of a malty smell than hoppy here. Earthy hop flavors with an accompanying caramel sweetness makes up most of the flavor. An odd soda like taste is present throughout also. Body is light to medium and has decent drinkability. Not bad overall but one that would get boring quickly.
