Nov 2000 - Very smelly (hops? in a bad way. Tastes pretty decent though, slightly bitter pale ale.

I’m engrossed in the film, "American Beer" and had to have another pint, so I cracked open this Fat Angel. It poured a light amber with a thin but firm head of white foam. The aroma is of caramel candy ... almost apricot-like. The flavor is hard to pin down ... the undertow is definitely malty, but the overarching sense is the fruity, apricot jammy fun. What a fun beer. I want more. (#2708, 2/15/2007)

Bottle. haha wow this is retired i didnt even know. Pours an amber body with an off white head. Sweet simple and malty caramel with a light grassy hoppy signature MH trademark. Eh.

Poured a copper color with a large, tight, and creamy off white head with a little lacing. Citrus hops, and sweet malt aroma. Sweet malt, with very light bitterness.

Draught pint at PJ Ryan’s on 8/4/06.
Filtered, pasteurized, kegged, highly pressurized. It has the usual, quick-to-recede white head, no lacing. Golden-to-light-amber in the body.
Fruity, citric, dry hops. Paperiness, cardboard, nuttiness, some acid in the background. Grainy, bare, pale malts. No substance to the aroma.
Fruity, dry, stale, weak, loose, flimsy, not-complex, dead, dull flavor/texture. Nothing really here, don’t even know what to say. No alcohol apparency.
Couldnt even drink half of it.

Nice light amber/bronze color with small head. Some hop aroma, but a good hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice malt flavors also. Slightly above average for an english style pale ale.

Bottle. orange color, offwhite head. Quite weak aroma. Fruity hoppy flavor but really not that much to taste in it.
