Aroma has a citrus hop presence, slightly sweet and light malts. Taste starts with a light maltiness, a bit sweet, but shortlasting. This brew finishes up dry and bitter, not much citrus hop taste, just a light bland bitter, thin finish. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 21, 2002 Magic Hat’s an odd brewery. They don’t like to reveal on their label what style of beer you’re drinking, which annoys me. This sure smells like a pale ale and tastes a bit like one, too. However, it’s fairly mild and approachable by a pale ale novice. Aubrey (2781), Denver, Colorado, USA

It’s a fairly light-tasting beer without a whole lot of flavor. Nothing really ’fat’ about it at all. A little ’wet’ on the palate. Somewhat hollow-tasting in the finish. Some hop bitterness... just some. Aromatics are not very charismatic. Rather disappointing; not much more than ’ok.’ I probably wouldn’t buy it again. michael-pollack (2749), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 8, 2005 Golden copper, thin white head. Earthy hops, with notes of smoke, and cocoa in the aroma. Rich Mouth feel. Smoky, clean malty flavor, then an earthy, resiny finish. maniac (2697), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 13, 2004 Bright copper pour, with impressive lacework - light but inviting aroma of citrus, mild hops and a hint of caramel - flavor is unspectacular but well-balanced - light hops up front, followed by some biscuity malts, which then lead to a slight bitter apricot flavor - medium-dry finish doesn’t leave much behind for you to remember the beer by - much better than I remember it being (I tried it once before I began rating beer), but I think I’ll pass on this in the future. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2007 Bottle. Clear amber colour with a little white head. Aroma of malt and hints of hops. Flavour of hops such as melon, citrus and flowerness. Quite good balanced between the malt and hops.
