This is my favorite beer of all time... I work next door to this place, and I have tried them all. This one is by far the best beer in the line-up! I could take the tour everyday and drink free samples until they ask me to leave! Magic Hat is the best beer in VT. Enjoy!!

One of my fav beers ever. Very disapointed that it was retired. Great bite and nice alcohol content.

Pours to a deep golden, to burnt orange color, with a nice white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose has a nice balance of citrus/grassy hop aromas paired with some good sweet and caramel malt aroma, and earthy yeast. The palate is firm, with lots of good pale, and sweet malt, paired with light fuity esters. Fat Angel finishes with more good pale and sweet malt up front, then ends with a snappy, citrus/grassy hop bite that lingers. Very well done pale ale, with good flavor, and good drinkability. Very food friendly beer as well that would pair well with a variety of dishes. Great beer.

This was a very good and very mellow ale. Outstanding drinkablility and one ale that would be perfect for a session in bar or for concerts in the Summer.

This is one of the best beers I have had all year. Evident Maris Otter malt flavor with a perfectly balanced bitterness that does not overpower the finish. Restrained fruity esters and subtle hopping coupled with a medium but chewy malt body round out this beauty. It is a shame I have such limited access to this on the west coast.

This seemed to be sort of a hybrid beer, not quite a pale ale, but more hops than most ales. Unique flavor, nice feel and finish. An interesting beer.

I’m engrossed in the film, "American Beer" and had to have another pint, so I cracked open this Fat Angel. It poured a light amber with a thin but firm head of white foam. The aroma is of caramel candy ... almost apricot-like. The flavor is hard to pin down ... the undertow is definitely malty, but the overarching sense is the fruity, apricot jammy fun. What a fun beer. I want more. (#2708, 2/15/2007)

Well I got to finally try some Magic Hat on my trip to Beantown, and I was impressed. This brew from Magic Hat had a golden brown color and a very slim white/tan foam head. It had a very complex smell of fruitiness and hops. It had a taste that kept me coming back for more and more and then a "few" more. The fruit blend with the malt/hop mix was perfect for my tastes, and made for a good long night.
