Commercial Description:
Fat Angel brings divergent tastes together to create a satisfyingly smooth harmony. Dry hopped for eminent drinkability, This beer offers a complex palate that balances the rich pleasures of malt with the crisp, refreshing flavor of hops. Fat angel is the ale of universal reconciliation, brewed in an ambiguous world for those seeking answers in the age of confusion.

For a fairly large commercial ale, Fat Angel does well for itself. Wide distribution ales don't usually work for me, but FA delivers every time. Nice ale, yet not for the beginner (novices are better suited for a #9).

tap: thin amber color. Aroma reeked of bitterness. The beer was extremely bitter and dry, but also very enjoyable. Definitely a better common beer.

This was an okay beer. Had a slight hop taste to it. Overall I’d have to say its pretty average nothing special.

Bottle. Clear amber colour with a little white head. Aroma of malt and hints of hops. Flavour of hops such as melon, citrus and flowerness. Quite good balanced between the malt and hops.

Bottle (thanks Quintana!). Medium amber color with little head. Nice grainy malt and subtle hop aroma. Flavor is very malt-forward, with a smooth palate and a nice little burst of hops in the finish. A nice, though somewhat light, take on the style.

Appears a rich amber with a frothy 1 finger white head that fades into a clumpy film. Leaves streaky lacing around the glass. Smell is of Ringwood, slightly sweet with a light apricot, caramel & toffee, with that slight butterness Taste is about the same of the aromas with roughly the same appeal. Mouthfeel is smooth with buttery sweetness. It’s ok. I’ve been drinking this one for so long though, it may have dropped down a few notches since I first had it about 8 years ago.

Bottle. Off white head. Yeasty aroma. Smooth and light malt taste, with a somewhat dry finish. Have to appreciate the poetry on the Magic Hat labels.

12 oz bottle Pours a cloudy amber golden, with a frothy off white head. Good lacing. Not much aroma, a lttle lemon citrus and a hint of carmel.Taste was a little acidic with some bitterness. Nice aftertaste. Not bad.
