Bottle. Off white head. Yeasty aroma. Smooth and light malt taste, with a somewhat dry finish. Have to appreciate the poetry on the Magic Hat labels.

12 oz bottle Pours a cloudy amber golden, with a frothy off white head. Good lacing. Not much aroma, a lttle lemon citrus and a hint of carmel.Taste was a little acidic with some bitterness. Nice aftertaste. Not bad.

Fat Angel was surprisingly basic for a magic hat brew. I enjoyed the traditional hoppy, tight grain flavor behind the alcohol. Good traditional english ale.

Bottle, from mug. Best by end of Dec ’06; missed it by a day. Slightly yellow head leaves a ring of residue. Very murky, copper colored body. Nose is fruity and hoppy, showing peaches, apricots and pine. Medium-full body shows some hop oiliness and average carbonation. Flavor is very bitter, as it should be, but is probably hoppier than the style would dictate--which suits this hophead just fine. Finishes short and dry up front, with malt showing through in the back. Highly quaffable; I practically guzzled a 6-pack.

This one is great. Really nice aroma and perfect balance of hops and malt flavor. Something I wouldn’t mind having again.

A hoppy pale ale, akin to an IPA. Carbonation on the aggressive tongue tingle side. Malty nominally satisfying aftertaste. British style. Bit of bitterness. Orange citrus and peach flavors from the hops.

Malty, toffee, sweet. Reminds me quite a bit of Bass Ale, but a bit heavier on the malt. The palate has a lot goin’ on (including a "cidery" quality), but it strikes me as a bit unbalanced, as I’d like to taste a bit more hops to level out the rather heavy malt flavor. Not a bad brew by any means; and I wouldn’t turn it down if offered to me again. Not sure I’d seek it out though.
