Touches of spicy hop. Flavor gets more spicy hop notes, slightly cleaner than the aroma. Clean, mild finish. Sammys (428), Portland, Maine, USA

The malt/hop balance comes out well in favor of the malt side, which is more appropriate for other styles. The dry hopping does give it a nice floral aroma, unfortunately the hop flavor that your expect does not follow. Only slight bitterness in the finish. mribm (419), Hurley, New York, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 19, 2002 Didn’t taste as many hops as I would have liked. It’s really hard to tell from their bottles what kind of beer is inside. I assumed it was a light pale ale. Tasted more malt than hops and it had this pleasant cookie / biscuit aroma to it. Very nice beer, but not a pale ale. Is it supposed to be? The bottles should let you know what you’re buying! muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 26, 2002 Absolutely uninteresting; slightly stronger flavored than, say, Bud, but not really more exciting. ’Vermont’s finest’ certainly doesn’t mean this beer; or, in general, this brewer (July 01) Update much the same only this time I found the body really watery -- a weak offering from a very overrated brewer (Dec 01) Update 2 (Apr 02) had this on tap and found it significantly better; still not the most characterful or distinctive brew, but very very fresh, crisp, and with a nice flavor profile that gradually segues (love that word) from fruity (apple?) sweetness into just enough hoppiness to keep you awake. In short, an eminently drinkable lighter Pale. jayme9874 (756), Hamburg, New York, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 28, 2005 St. Andrews Restaurant, NYC - 12 oz bottle. Medium copper appearance, soft white head. Aroma not very apparent, some fresh lake water is about all I pick up. Not overly flavorful but a good companion to a meal. Solid, subtle bitter flavor with some brief nuttiness and
a hint of citrus balances this one out. Overall decent. madsberg (5055), Søborg, Denmark

Fruity aromas, graham-crackers, bread, raisons, flowers, hay. A very well balanced brew, although a little loose on the ending, things seem to fall apart. I do enjoy the honey like sweetness, and flowers in the end, and some slight bitterness.
