This beer pours out a hazy, orangish color, with a short lived head. The head fades to a ring of small bubbles around the rim of the glass. First aromas are of fresh ground grains, a slight hint of fruits, mainly citrus, and fresh cut hay. Delightful, earthy aroma to it as well. Taste is fresh, crisp, and delicious. It's more along the lines of a good Kolsch beer than just another pale ale. Tastes are of malts, estery fruits, and a subdued hops finish to it. A nice beer overall.

12 oz. bottle. Going from memory, but I recall that this was suprisingly good. 12 pack given to father-in-law by Tom B.

From bottle - pours out very clear light amber color. small-medium frothy white head that makes the beer look really delicious and tempting but then it dissipates quickly with only wet remnants, no lacing on the sides. not a very strong smell. pick up a little biy of sour grapes and floral components. It tastes like raisins and grapefruit and grass. thin body - clean on the palate. very light beer. light body. light carbonation. other comments suggest its underdone - I think its just subtle and good.

Solid somewhat spicy hop aroma. Clear golden amber colour with small white receding head with some lacing. Nice malty pale ale with good balancing bitterness and a cereal flavour in the finish with some residual spiciness. Mouthfeel is creamy and fairly full for this medium-bodied beer. If this was available here, I could see myself drinking it with some regularity. A very tasty session beer. It would be nice if it retained a bit more head. On tap at the brewery and bottled.

Poured up cloudy and was deep honey in color. Foam faded fast. Crisp hop aroma. Hop flavor is evident but is smooth, not bitter. Crisp and light, makes for a great session beer.

Magic Hats pale ale is a cramel colored crisp delight. This beer offers a nice unoffensive bitter hops taste that goes down smooth.
