Nov 1, 2004 This one was more adventurous in delivery, with overtones of complex hops providing somewhat of an unbalanced experience. Offers plenty of flavors, but I cannot attest that the harmony of these tastes go well with one another. Seemed almost too ambitious, perhaps it’s the style of English Pale Ales, I am not really accustomed to having these on a regular basis, so I do not have any true basis for comparison. In the end, it’s an okay brew.

Feb 11, 2005 Very sweet, hoppy aroma on a golden colored body with a light and head that faded down to a wispy layer on the top of the glass. A fairly metallic hop taste with an amazingly bitter aftertaste took what I thought was going to be a good beer straight downhill. Body is medium to light, and the feel is very cool and refreshing. Everything about this beer was great, except the way it tasted.

Jan 15, 2006 Not my favorite Magic Hat... Pours a nice golden with a nice head, and has an ok aroma, not great though. Standard taste nothing that stands out. I love Magic hat but would not recommend this one.

Dec 11, 2005 12z bottle. Clear and golden, pale and auburn. Apples and lemons. Lemon danish. Vanilla. Nutty. Floral and big. Sharp, but quick. A bit short.

Aug 25, 2007 Fairly deep shade of coppery orange. Dry aroma of cherries, maple syrup, brown sugar. A bit of lipstick. Satisfying malts on the tongue. Biscuits, paper, and honey. Dry so as to suggest an almost tart lemon quality. Maybe a slight kiss of sweet orange juice. Coppery. Finishes with dried cranberries and raw brazil nut skins. Medium thickness in the mouth. Manages to be quietly refreshing. Works well enough for what it is.

Jan 25, 2008 Updated: Jan 26, 2008This beer is an English pale ale but the hopping is spicy rather than earthy. Dry finish, clean taste. Not the best.
