Pours hazy orange with a small, rocky, off-white head, somewhat lasting with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, meal), average hops (grass), average yeast (dough) with notes of paper and apple. Light bodied, slick texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish, kind of wet and spicy palate. Average duration, light sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness; husky grain and tea flavor with raw hop leaf at the end. SledgeJr (3000), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

Fluffy white head with the hills-and-valley phenotype. Hoppy aroma. Nice lacing. The body is disappointingly thin. A bit metallic in taste. Almost tastes like blood. Slight musty aroma. Mildly bitter, but fairly disappointing. iratherbe (255), Marlton, New Jersey, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 29, 2006 The name and bottle are more fun than the beer. Decent pale ale, nice brown orange color, initial mouthfeel has you wanting more than it delivers. I’ve come to expect better from this brwer. Though I wonder recently are they going downhill some as of late? KUEric (632), Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 23, 2006 Bottle: Pours a dark gold, more orange color with a nice sudsy just barely not-white head mjames before has a goodcolor title:toast tan. Aroma isn’t impressive at all. Smells of wheat, citrusy-orange hops, and maybe a little too much dry old socks. Normally I talk about flavor next, but the palate makes itself know early and often. A very biting carbonated adult beverage. The flavors aren’t anything to write home about either. Citrsy-orange flavors first and definitely foremost. Other flavors include grassy and then there is teeny-tiny fait sweet finish almost out of nowhere. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Sep 7, 2006 Bottle. Clear copper with thin, quickly diminishing off-white head. Faint aroma of hops, otherwise smells generally of old wood. A little bit of yeast also. Flavor kind of flat and boring, hop bitterness is there, but no real malt character. Palate light to medium, but carbonation flattens quickly. Non-offensive, but no excitement whatsoever. Plain Jane ale. jwdevalue (158), Neptune, New Jersey, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 22, 2005 Clear copper, fizzling white head. Sweet metallic nose with some grassy hops. Fruity, weird black current flavor over mustiness. Bitter finish, odd metallic notes. goldtwins (4084), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Mar 31, 2005 Poured a clear amber with a thin white head. Big butterscotch/diacetyl aroma. Some caramel underneath. Too bad this wasn’t an ice cream sundae. Butterscotch in the flavor as well with a light bitter finish. Thin body.
