Pleasant aroma of yeast, malt, and fresh vegetation. Fresh, yeasty taste with hints of flowers and spice. Fizzy but substantial on the palate - a good brew. UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA

Malty with fruity notes, moderate hopping, and a very well done balance. I'm definitely a fan. Not over the top. Just right....
....Old....Kinda average all around. Pretty much every american pale ale tastes like this, or very similar. Still good, but lost in the crowd. One of their worst labels, as well. maltdog (518), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2004 Pours crystal clear honeyed amber with a transient off-white head and decent lacing. Aromas of toasty malt and Butterfinger, also hinting at golden raisins, candied sugar, and maple. Sweetish toasty malt flavor, mild peppery spice, impression of wet autumn leaves. I would swear there’s a spicy Belgian yeast element here. Feels like flannel on the tongue. Leaves my mouth and gums numb and tingly; feels like much more than 5%. Mellow grainy/fruity/spicy aftertaste. Overall zesty, but definitely not hoppy. Nicely balanced and equally suited to sipping or quaffing. fasteddieIX (55), Rochester, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2004 Pours a golden brown with a nice 1-inch white head. Fruity aromas, with a nice balance of hops/malts for taste, rounded out with apricot overtones. Not to my personal tastes, but a good all-around beer, and worth a try. Hoppy and biscuity nose with a unique herbal flavor. Otherwise an almost typical New England pale ale. MrBendo (1044), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA

Very bitter flavor. Caramel and spice come out just a little. Not a bad brew if you like the style. Ambrose (141), East Aurora, New York, USA
