Some hop with apricot aroma. Smooth light-medium body with a flavor that is well hopped, but not overly so, with a short dry finish. Nicely done alternative to the aggressivly hopped APA's. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA

The beer's color was rich and promising, and it drained with a pleasing constancy of residue in the glass. The taste? A bit on the off side, there is definitely that mysterious Magic Hat ingredient that is not quite apricot (perhaps apricot blended with something?), along with an only medium-hoppy feel. A good beer well-served coming straight from its brown bottle, and has a nice aroma that goes straight to the nose. The bottle, however, is a little over the top in its artsiness this time (my apologies to the creator). VTHopHead (924), Barre, Vermont, USA

Not as stong tasting as I would expect from this type. Slightly sweet. A pleasant, but not memorable beer. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA

Dark gold pour, with good head. Very hoppy aroma. TAstes hoppy, malty, with a very crisp, hoppy, somewhat creamy finish. beerbuzzmontreal (2911), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Powerfull flavor of malt, bitter finish. Light to medium body, oily texture, medium carbonation. It’s a nice pale ale that is more on the malt side and it’s ok with me, vive la différence ! dthmtldgn (32), barrington, New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 10, 2008 To me this is very much like #9, with more complexity and a little stronger hop notes. Tastes like a pale ale with, hints of spice & orange. Overall a decent beer sorry to see it’s being retired.
