OK magic hat needs to knock it off with these damn corks. Thick raspberry choclate stout with tons of flavor and huge body. Too much head and tastes to much like fruits other than raspeberry. An awesome and drinkable beer! Can’t wait for the ’05-’06 version!

Bottle was bought at brewery in 2004. I was waiting for a special occasion, in this case, our first anniversary of dating. Cork was dried and broke...was a little afraid the beer would be off. A clear dark stout with a super thick moka head. A wonderful raspberry aroma, pungeant, with sweet milk chocolate. In mouth, balance of sweetness of the fruit with torrefied coffee, light lactic notes. Wonderful beer. A surprise that it survived four years storing.

Richmond "industry" gathering. Ultra dark brown, decent head. Aroma was chocolate, raspberry, and faint coffee. The flavor was a dead on match to the nose. Very nice, flavors melded quite well. Definitely a favorite amongst some at the gathering.

(750ml bottle) Sampled at the Central New York Brewfest in Syracuse on February 4, 2006. Many, many thanks to the Regional Minister of Fiefdom, Brian Denny, for providing me with both a sample and the empty bottle of this fine beer. Thin, creamy tan head with an opaque body. Nose and flavours of strong raspberries and tones of chocolate. Mildly gritty and oily in texture. I’d love to try this boys ABV big brother!
