Goodgrief (1077), Middletown, Delaware, USA Aug 22, 2008 This was a favoriteof mine in my really early beer infancy and I haven’t had it since. I was expecting to be seriously underwhelmed, but was pleasantly surprised. Rare to find in this style, a strong wheat presence was there with some nicely complimenting fruity zest. The only knock was a carbonation level which was a little much. A good beer.
Rciesla (1571), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Dec 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours an orange amber body with a white head. Wheat, citrus, floral grassy hop character with no alcohol in the finish. eh. jstraw (549), Oak Park, Illinois, USA Oct 30, 2008 Straw color with fair, white head / Bright nose of lemon and wheat / Light body, a little thin, crisp and acidic, with good finish / Flavors of lemon, grass, and wheat / A pleasant, lighter, wheat. Crafty07 (344), Lexington, Kentucky, USA Oct 27, 2008 Wow, another lower than deserved score from the elite at ratebeer.com. This is an American Wheat Ale and the brewers from Vermont give the consumer exactly what the promise in this offering.
This is the preferable alternative to light pale lager...were you people expecting an IPA? not as bad as is suggested here. taalhiker (177), Dayton, Ohio, USA Oct 2, 2008 From bottle. Pours clear yellow with a quickly disolving head. Light wheat and citrus on the nose. Very clean tasting but with virtually no finish. Like mgoy said, it reminds me of GI 312. Kinda disappointing.
Rynoplasty (317), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Oct 1, 2008 Light hazy golden color with a small head. Slight wheat taste with some fruit in the background, pretty non offensive.
