Commercial Description:
Earthy, rich and steeped in autumn’s magic: it’s an ale of change. This potent infusion is haunted by memories of summer and the first frost on abandoned fields. Jinx prepares the bones for snow. It has the glint of golden maples at peak and finishes light as an ode to the fading sun. A bit of peat-smoked malt imparts a subtle hint of smoke that reminds us of fall’s bonfires. Available in the Fall.

Bottled. Pours brown with an off white head. Smells of malt and apples. Tastes like a cider mixed with a beer, apples, honey, hops, caramel, earth, a hint of smoke. Very nice, but also has a disappointing watery finish. Would drink again, I think it succeeds in reminding me of autumn.

Pours a medium orange brown with a creamy off white head. The aroma as sweet, caramel malt, some spice, and some smoke. The flavor is smokey, spicy, caramel malt, chipotle. The palate is nicely carbonated and the finish is smokey with some spice.

Pours a cloudy dark amber. Aroma is rather smoky. Flavor is heavy caramel with a note of chocolate that grows as the beer warms. Mouthfeel is thick.

12 oz bottle-Poured a dark cola color w/a small off white head. Sweet, carbonated aroma. Pretty easy drinking brew, has a smoked flavor to it but it’s not a curl your toes smoked like an Alaskan or Aecht-which I would have prefered. Had some flavors of peat & chocolate, as well as some carbonation to it. Enjoyable; good introduction to this style for someone who’s not a beer geek. Long, bitter finish

Off white head with a dark copper/amber color. Strong fruity and malty aroma. Drief fruit in the flavor... I didn’t get any smoke and wouldn’t have thought that this was a smoked beer... somewhat sweet and sour as well... high alcohol not noticeable.

Brownish color. Malty aroma. Sweet, malty flavor, caramel and chocolate taste that I really enjoyed. A little heavier than I was expecting...I wouldn’t have it with a large meal. Pretty good beer.
