Commercial Description:
Earthy, rich and steeped in autumn’s magic: it’s an ale of change. This potent infusion is haunted by memories of summer and the first frost on abandoned fields. Jinx prepares the bones for snow. It has the glint of golden maples at peak and finishes light as an ode to the fading sun. A bit of peat-smoked malt imparts a subtle hint of smoke that reminds us of fall’s bonfires. Available in the Fall.

Brown with decent, foamy tan head / Faint nose of caramel and sweet malt / Light to medium body, fizzy, thin in fruit and finish / Flavors of caramel and coca cola with peat notes / Pedestrian.

Bottle. Pours copper with a thin beige head. Sweet caramel malt aroma with light smoky wood. The flavor is rather light with sweeter malt and a touch of smoke. Decent.

I’ll be honest i don’t like magic hat but this might be the exception. A chocolate brown color and a fair sized head beer was handed to me by a friend. Sticking my nose in this made me feel like i was stepping into a lumber yard or a wood shop. Very nice ceader or oak aroma. The taste was malty but with a hint of peat. Might be a good beer if you feel like drinking whiskey but dont wanna get to drunk, allt he same flavors are there.

From a 12 oz bottle. Pours a rich deep amber color. Very light head disappeared quickly. Slightly smoky aroma. Taste was pretty good with a light smoky flavor and light earth malt tones. Very nice. I feared that the smoky peat flavor would be overpowering but that wasn’t the case. I would definitely drink this one again.

The pours heavy orange hue, with a med sized beige head. The aroma is dominated by the smoky malts, with some floral highlights. The first thing I notice about this beer is the heavy carbonation, so I have to let is sit to really find the flavor....The Hops are bitter, and pleasant. The smoke flavor was stronger than I was expecting given the description. The malts are over powered by their smoke flavor to bring too much maltiness to the tounge. A good offering.

Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a shaker. This beer poured a mirky, dirty copper hue with a nice head of creamy tan foam that showed some decent retention. A small amount of slippery lacing was left around the glass. The aroma contained notes of smokey caramel and dried fruits. The flavor consisted of caramel and toffee, a mellow smokiness, dark fruits, and a hint of maple syrup. Nicely balanced. The mouthfeel was full-bodied and had light to moderate carbonation. After trying their so called hefe, I wasn’t expecting much, but this was a pleasent surprise.

poured a nice brown hue with an off-white head. Aroma had a very pronounced smoke note to it with some malts to it. The smoke was never over powering just pleasant throughout the bottle. A nice smooth finish.
