Pours a murky syurpy dark brown color with a small fizzy tan head that disapates to near nothing. Nose is mild, caramel, sugar, fruits, touch of smoke. Initial taste is burnt caramel, nuts, sweet, touch of smoke. Definitely more like brown ale than classified smoke. This does not qualify as a smoke, plain pathetic. Palate duration is average. Light to medium body. Smooth, but lacking its true represented characteristics.

Oct 12, 2008 Bottle.Dark brown beer with a thin tan head. Aroma dark fruit,bread and faint herbal hops . Flavor is brown bread,faint smoke,caramel,and maybe cherries. Nice mouthfeel. An odd but solid offering .

Oct 11, 2008 Pours dark copper or amber, decent head. Aroma of malt, fruit, not much smoke. Taste is dark fruit, sweet malt. Again, not much smoke. Light hop bittering. Mouth is smooth, medium-bodied, and. Overall, a decent session.

Oct 10, 2008 clear dark amber...or light brown. decent quickly disappearing tan head. toffee light chocolate aroma with a very light smoke presence. sweet toffee chocolate flavor a hint of bitterness and again very very light smoke. bitter dry chocolate finish light smoke decent bit of toffee sweetness. medium body. not bad...it just seems like an ok brown ale but not much more.

Oct 9, 2008 Rust colored pour with a 2 finger tan head. Somewhat sour dark fruit aroma with a hint of smoke and tasty malt. Moderate caramel and dark fruit flavors blend with some slight sourness and smoke. Medium body with an average amount of carbonation.

Dark brown glowin g beer, small head with fine lacing.
Dark fruit, plums and sour cherries. A little smoke, but not much. Sour cherry finish, a bit cough drops, some mint?
