fiulijn (6110), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 18, 2008 Bottle from Chevy Chase Liquors, Washington
Hazy amber color, nice lace. Strong earthy aroma, medium mouthfeel, dry caramel flavor, reasonable hopping. It’s like a crossover between an English IPA (bitter but not as much as an American one and without fruity/resiny hops) and a good English Bitter (the earthy hops). hopdog (4950), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 5, 2008 12oz bottle shared courtesy of weeare138. Poured a medium and clear amberish / golden color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of earth, grainy, and light citrus. Tastes of grains, citrus, light caramel, and some pine. hopscotch (4755), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Nov 26, 2008 Bottle... Lightly hazed golden/orange ale with a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Breadsy, black tea and mild grapefruit nose. Medium to full-bodied and creamy with prickly carbonation. Medium black tea and grapefruit bitterness barely outshines moderate toffee and biscuit sweetness. Lingering, moderately bitter finish. Thanks go out to beerbill for shipping the bottle my way!
