| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 4, 2009 Red-orange pour with thin white head. Aroma of citrus, resiny hops and some caramel malt. Flavor is a bit hoppy, a bit malty, balanced, kind of a caramel note with a bit piney in the finish. Nice mouthfeel with good carbonation. An Ok ipa. hayduke (1654), Eureka, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2009 From a 12 oz bottle this poured a cloudy orange color with a small white head that dissipated fairly rapidly. Nose of caramel malts and citrus and floral hops., and some additional aromas of coriander and pine. Medium mouthfeel. The flavor is unusual, with some spices and maybe the hops creating an odd bitterness that carries over into the dry finish. ansermadide (512), Kyle, Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Thick amber color with a reddish hue. Fluffy off white head... Frothy (excellent pour). Bubbly, sticky lacing. Malt aroma with light hops. Bitter hop flavor, bitter finish. Tip-of-the-tongue watering in the finish as well, perhaps from a hidden sweetness. Grassy flavor comes out as the drink warms up. Good, would be great with just a little more hops. radioseer (46), Virginia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 2, 2009 (12 ounce bottle - pint glass) Pours a almost opaque golden brown liquid, with a decent head that leads to a good lacing. Aroma is a balance of hop and malt, mostly a bland generic hop in the nose. Taste has drinkability. Taste is a citrus hop taste with a light bready malt balance. Has a frothy texture. Worth a try. tzakiel (49), Virginia, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2009 Hoppy. Not bad at all... but not the best hoppy beer I’ve tasted. I’ll have to try it again and re-rate, it’s been a while. Boliv (195), New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a foamy off-white head that lingers. Aromas of lemon zest, coriander, orange, pine needles, sugar, dough, and soap. Contrary to my expectations, this really isn’t full of super bitter hops. Some hops are present, but these are balanced by sweet malts. Some blebs of lacing remain on the glass. A little bitterness in the finish, but again, I feel like this centers a little more on sweetness; it’s not bad, just different. TheBeerOrg (1577), Kentucky, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Pours bright amber with a thin tan head. Notes of mango, sour citrus, woody hops. Medium bodied, lightly resinous with smooth carbonation. DrinkEmUpJones (22), Georgia, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2009 Cloudy burnt orange with thick, fluffy off-white head and lots of lacing; Mild Aromas of burnt toast, and cheddar cheese. Palate feels "cloudy" with a dry mouthfeel. Medium bitters, not as much as most IPA’s, more sour and tart. This beer I could liken to a sour candy--it’s fun to drink here and there, but nobody’s favorite.
