Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber-red, small head. Smells of aluminum and grasses... no hint of citrus or pine. Flavor of citrus fruit, pine, and some spice. Surprising since I sensed none of that in the nose. Not bad... pine lingers.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Sweet caramel and no hop presence. I had no idea this was supposed to be an IPA. Grainy and lightly sweet. Finishes with more graininess and a little bit of bitterness. Unimpressive, but still drinkable, which is what Magic Hat seems to go for over memorable.

Pours amber with a thick off white head. Decent lacing. Aroma is moderately hoppy. Taste is good. For a beer calling itself an IPA this isn’t as hoppy as you would expect. Good beer.

The pour is amber a touch opaque, with a small yellow tinged head. The aroma is light and mildly hoppy. The beer is tainted with too much carbonation, but the hop is nice and sharp. the finish is slower then most IPA’s, with pine and floral notes. An OK beer. I picked it up in winter sampler from Magic Hat....I generally think of IPA’s as spring/summer beers.

This IPA poured a slightly cloudy, light orange colour with a nice big frothy, white head. To the nose there are scents of orange and pineapple citrus, citrus and more citrus. First taste was smooth with a nice mellow hopp flavour. Flavours include tea and citrus. Finish is hoppy with a little bitter flavours lingering.

12oz bottle poured into an English pint. Lucky Kat pours slightly hazy and bronze-colored with a nice, if small, rocky head. The nose is pretty typical for an IPA, mostly consisting of hop resin. The body is a tad watery and the taste is a bit commercial. This is not a very good IPA as far as it goes but it’s an easy-to-drink beer. The finish is quick and uninspired.

Part of a variety pack. The nose had a toasty or malty hint to it and the head was off-white and didn’t last long, despite a vigorous pour. The appearance looked fine and I debated on rating it a 4. The bitterness doesn’t seem as strong as other IPAs, leading me to check the expiration date which was 3 months in the future. It’s a decent IPA, though I wouldn’t make special efforts to find it in a store.

Red-orange pour with thin white head. Aroma of citrus, resiny hops and some caramel malt. Flavor is a bit hoppy, a bit malty, balanced, kind of a caramel note with a bit piney in the finish. Nice mouthfeel with good carbonation. An Ok ipa.

From a 12 oz bottle this poured a cloudy orange color with a small white head that dissipated fairly rapidly. Nose of caramel malts and citrus and floral hops., and some additional aromas of coriander and pine. Medium mouthfeel. The flavor is unusual, with some spices and maybe the hops creating an odd bitterness that carries over into the dry finish.
