| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2009 On tap at the Beechtree. Was listed as “Magic Hat Farm House Sour Ale”. ‘Farm house sour ale’ got me all excited, but I had to reign myself in since it was preceded by the words “magic hat”. Seems my restraint was a good thing, as this turned out to be less than stellar. Pours a clear yellow with a medium white head that fades quickly. No real funk, but there is almost a hint of hay and maybe some citrus. Medium bodied and with a flavor of grain that comes through. Barely sour, though there is a lot of lively sharp carbonation. Finishes with a light tart citric acid flavor with some lemony flavors. Tartness is not so much sour as it is reminiscent of a granny smith apple, but without the sweetness. Bit of a grain aftertaste. WillieV (191), Maryland, USA

Scents of wheat and citrus. Just a beer you can have on a hot summer day. Rciesla (3750), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 26, 2008 A lightly hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. Light lactic aroma with not much character, Rather bland and lifeless ale, with a bit of cherries. Not impressed. On tap at Vermont Brewers Fest 2008, July 19, 2008.
