Drew (2377), Kent, Ohio, USA Mar 27, 2008 This one was in the Spring ’08 box. This is a nice average amber ale, with a liitle extra hop included. Red bodied, short tan head. Aroma is a nice sweetness, but not strong. finished with a caramel sweetness then dry.
the_chandler (202), West Virginia, USA Sep 19, 2008 Pours a red-amber color with a bit of a fluffy tan head. Aroma is hopppps. Oh my, I’m looking forward to this brew. First taste is a sweet hoppy explosion. Delicious. Hoppy Hoppiness. Smooth too. I didn’t expect this to be nearly as good as it is. elihapa (317), Connecticut, USA Sep 6, 2008 bottle. Pours a clear amber-red with a clingy cream head. Aroma heavy on malts, soil, and some fermenting dark fruit. Flavor starts sweet, of marbled caramel malt, butterscotch, butter, and a sweet apricot/cherry. Not a whole lot of complexity, but a pretty appealing flavor holds its own. Finish is thin, mouthfeel is sticky, but flavor recedes quickly. Pretty nice, especially for Magic Hat, which is a brewery I don’t seem to get along with too well. Imaena (259), Portland, Maine, USA Aug 22, 2008 Bottle form Alex 08’ Pours a hazy brown amber color with a beige head. Malty nose with slight syrupy sweetness coming through. Hopp bitterness and subtle sweetness. Finish is dry and funky. AgentSteve (852), SF Bay Area, California, USA Aug 17, 2008 Bonus beer from ? Pours attractive opaque ruddy caramel color with a halo of a cream colored head. The nose is dried fruits, brown sugar and sweet malt. The flavor goes much more earthy and a touch bitter. The finish is strangely a bit vegital. Damico (50), Norristown, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 5, 2008 This amber ale doesn’t have the best aroma or flavor, but can be enjoyed if you like a slightly hopped ale. With an amber color and small head, it’s not the most impressive brew.
