jb (774), Rochester, New York, USA Feb 4, 2007 Cidery looking stuff. Has the familiar hoppy pine forest aroma along with some caramel and toffee in the palate. Serviceable beer. Not bad by magic hat standards.
jezmez68 (289), Chesterton, Indiana, USA Nov 29, 2008 I’m not a fan of amber ales, but this is the best one I’ve had ever. The Simcoe hops do it for me. They dry hop these, and the aroma of this beer is intense. Pours a light brown with a medium head. Smells of simcoe and malts. Tastes nice, the Brewer’s Gold hops give a nice bitterness. This would be a constant item in my fridge if I could get it year-round. esjaygee (918), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Nov 29, 2008 At Three Cellars Magic Hat tasting. Amber with a medium white head. Aroma of pine, woodsy hops (simcoe) and some sweet malt. Taste of citrus, pine, caramel. Smooth body leads to a dry mildly bitter finish. Unique69crazy (118), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 29, 2008 A heavy set brew with a nice hearty amount of bitterness. Quite hoppy with a tangy aftertaste. This is the first brew I’ve had from this company, looking forward to see what else this has to offer rustbucket0873 (112), Krikville, New York, USA Nov 28, 2008 color is a brownish red, with a small head on it. leaves a nice lacing, the aroma is
of hops and fruit. the flavor is sweet with with a hoppy bitter finish. This is one of
the better ones from magic hat. nramsburg (153), New York, New York, USA Nov 27, 2008

I’m generally not a fan of Magic Hat -- too sweet and bland. This is something else altogether. Smooth notes of carmel and maybe a hint of some candied fruit. Beautiful mouthfeel -- really doesn’t overpower as it fades to a nice hoppy finish. Well done Magic Hat.
