Not hugely crazy about this brew. Had some on tap at the Magic Hat brewery. Poured a pale yellow with a light head. Nose of weak malts and, yes, slight spice. Flavor echoes the nose. Finished a little earthy, skunky. Not bad but I’ve had much better cream ales (Genesee, Utica Club).

Pours a clear gold color with moderate white head. Aroma is lager yeast. Flavor is grassy notes with a hint of cherry sweetness. Mild hop bite in the finish. Nothign special, but a decent session beer.

Tap at Black Iron Burger, where is relabeled Black Iron Brew. Light golden, lightly filtered pour. Very grainy aroma, bready, with a certain sweetness at the fore. Somewhat lagery in character, a touch floral. Nothing special, but not bad.

Growler - kind of odd for a winter seasonal, but, as I am drinking it in late spring, it’s quite appropriate for this particular moment - pours a crystal clear gold, with a soapy ring of lace - aroma of bready character, light spicy hops, and underlying notes of honey and vanilla - quite light, but it has a creamy texture in the mouth - crisp, dry, somewhat spicy hop character bookends the flavor, and in the middle, we have very mild honey, crackery malts, a bit of a floral quality - finished quite dry, with lingering hops - this is quite refreshing and tasty - very underrated.

This is a gret beer for what it is. This is an easy drinking light Ale. this was brewed for the MRG ski area and is served on tap there, meant to be cold and refreshing after a hard day of skiiing which is does, and well.

I honestly could not have told you if this was a lager or an ale. It looked like a light gold basic lager and only had just a hint of dry ale taste. Just enough hops to be cold and refreshing though and it really hit the spot for such a basic beer. Very simple but not bad as long as you know what you are diving into.

Draught at Capone’s: Faint aroma of hops and pale malts. Poured gold in color with a medium-sized, dense, rocky, white head that lasted throughout. Clear. Not sparkling. Very good lacing. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of pale malts, chocolate, noble hops, and slight cream. Light to medium body. Thin, dry texture. Average carbonation. Dry, malty finish.
