Sampled at the brewery. Was OK, malty aroma, lace in glass. Hops, herbal, balanced. Spiciness.Golden colour. Tad of fruit and spot acidic. Served up quite fresh. Light mouthfeel.

On draught at Sunset Grill, 10/27/2005 with SuIIy. Laughable appearance. When I held this up to the light, it nearly resembled water. There was a faint tinge of light peachy-orange, but the beer was obnoxiously filtered and nearly clear in color. Head is fizzy, poorly retained and white, little to no lacing. Aroma does not promise much either. Peaches, apricots, sourdough and diacetyl. Some lightly spicy/herbal hops are barely perceptible. Yeast is quite dominant. Flavor brings forth the yeast character as well, adding some noticeable diacetyl at first, with yellow fruits and a hint of doughiness, before fading off in to a lightly sugary, mildly hopped, soft finish. The carbonation was quite low, however, and the beer had a feathery, soft, aerated texture that was actually quite pleasant and helped work against any wateriness that might have appeared as it warmed. The more I drank, the more my palate warmed up to the light butter notes, and the fruits and spices danced around a bit, providing some tame entertainment. Drinkable it was, however, and pretty flavorful for the style.

I can’t get this beer in Mass. I drive 3+ hours 3 or 4 times a winter for this stuff (and some feast of fools of course). This is one of my fave’s. I think it’s like a #9 without the fruit but still slightly sweet. Great atsing, refreshing and worth the drive (for 20 growlers, thank you!).

Pale amber yellow color. Aroma has hay, sweat, malt, grass. Decent sweet malty body, grainy, more grass. Overall ok. Somehow I don’t see cream ale as a particularly appropriate beer for winter and a skilift...

Hazy brownish gold with only a tight ring for head. Crisp malt aroma with a hint of american hops. Light flavour containing some not unpleasant corn, but "yellow beer" hopping and bland. Light body with medium to high carbonation and a little astringent. I won’t have this beer again.

Beer tastes like a spiritual successor to MH’s "Miss Bliss", which hasn’t been made in a while. Fragrance contains hints of a floral scent, and something sweet (caramel?). Taste is incredibly smooth, if not a bit too light. All and all, not too bad. I usually pick a case up when it’s available and am pleased.
